Aquila boasts a series of ceremony locations, as well as varied entertaining spaces, providing couples with several ways to arrange the most relaxing and exquisite wedding retreat, including pre and post events.
Providing a Hinterland, rainforest feel within minutes of the beach allows couples to uniquely enjoy wedding photography in both a beach and a hinterland setting. Many couples choose to marry on Aquila’s jetty on the serene lower lily pad dam, with guests enjoying drinks and or grazing under the nearby bamboo. Later the event can continue in the marquee area or back up at the retreat house. The options are endless. Aquila’s concourse, directly outside the house, is ideal for festoon lighting, drink and food vans. A chilled, festive atmosphere can be so easily created at this gorgeous home, without great expense.
Arrange a yoga class or series of massages for the bridal party and guests in Aquila’s Kasbah (yoga and spa deck) which doubles as the ideal space for other entertainment or feasting. Aquila is fully equipt with catering facilities and drinks refrigeration. The property can accommodate standing and seated receptions without the requirement for a marquee. Aquila does have however a beautiful designated event area for a Sperry tent, marquee or tipi, should this hold a place in your wedding vision.
Please note, you must be staying at the property to arrange your wedding or event on site. Aquila owners Heid and Kim have relationships with some of the most wonderful local suppliers and delight in assisting couples on their wedding journey where ever possible.
