THe name Aquila retreat

The name Aquila is Latin for ‘eagle’.

Aquila Retreat was powerfully designed to align with the Aquila (eagle) constellation on the celestial equator. In Greco-Roman mythology, the eagle represents the bird that carried Zeus/Jupiter’s thunderbolts. In spiritual terms, the name Aquila holds great reverence.

Amazing property and hosts WOW! The whole Aquila Retreat experience was a big WOW....from the greeting upon arrival in the grand entry way, to the massive beautifully decorated rooms, to the stunning views, to the chauffering around the property by the friendly, welcoming hosts and staff. Luxurious, warm and intimate. 💚 Aquila Retreat is an incredibly luxurious accomodation option. It’s not only accomodation but an ‘experience’ from the moment you walk in the door. The styling and then intention that has gone into each room is reflective of the attention you will receive from the hosts. They are attentive, warm and you feel like they are family! Any wish you have will be openly recieved, nothing is a problem for these amazing people. I can’t wait to return!

Hidden Gem in Sunshine Coast's Rainforest Hiding in the Buderim Rainforest is the most amazing retreat - all rooms with rainforest views, huge decks, complete with heating, amazing ambience with artwork and quirky pieces, super comfortable leather chairs, to make the place seem so welcoming. Absolutely fell in love with the place.

10/10 Amazing!! Thank you for taking care of our dinner for 20. The food and service was amazing and the venue is just stunning. From the moment I arrived it felt like another world. I can easily recommend the venue for retreats, events and weddings.

Everything has been though of This retreat is amazing! The decor, views, cleanliness, so many options to choose from depending on your mood. From rain forest walks, spa pools, heated pools, fire pits, outdoor seating - total comfort. Nothing spared. This is a place you do want to experience. If you haven't been here - you need to go.

Paradise Hideaway Aquila Retreat is cosy, inviting and really hard to leave. Make sure you stay a few nights! The house is just part of what makes it so special, the grounds are also stunning and the view is unparalleled.

Just divine Heidi & Kim have managed to make the ultimate group retreat. The décor and styling is just perfect for the space, combining textures, materials and patterns to make a warm and inviting space that despite its size, never feels cavernous or empty, and nor does it feel cramped. You can tell that thought has gone into every single item in the home. The individual ensuites and spacious rooms, and plenty of space to explore the home and grounds means you can get plenty personal space during a group adventure, while also being able to host large inclusive soirees that feel like intimate occasions. I am particularly impressed by the generous (multiple) kitchens and how incredibly well equipped the pantry and kitchen are. Every appliance you could need, all the essential pantry items and more than enough cooking and serving utensils. Many places fail in this regard making catering for a large group unpleasant, but I would spend the rest of my days in Aquila's kitchen if I could! We will definitely be back in 2021 to celebrate mine and my husband's 30th birthdays with all our family and friends! Thanks so much Heidi and Kim!

Incredible Aquila Retreat is simply exquisite. A large family group, we spent the week over Christmas on this incredible property and enjoyed every moment. Located very close to the town centre, mere minutes from some of the best beaches and natural attractions on the Sunshine Coast, and nestled high among stunning rainforest, there are so many experiences on offer, yet no need to leave the property if settling in and making the most of the Aquila facilities is more your thing. It was easy to find something for everyone. Our group could not agree on a favourite aspect of Aquila, contenders included the exceptional kitchen facilities, the “magic” ice machine, the luxurious beds, the equally luxurious views, the pool table room, the rainforest bar, the yoga classes, the list goes on. For me, the space is the winner. Whether hiding away on a hanging chair with a good book and a view over the rainforest, or entertaining a crowd for Christmas drinks, the Aquila spaces cater for every possible need and want. Even doing laundry is enjoyable at this place (wine laundry, anyone?). Heidi is a talented, warm and thoughtful host, her attention to detail is impeccable. Thank you Aquila, we shall meet again.
